EMS Education.net was created by Michael A. Kaufmann, MD, FACEP. After years and years of delivering traditional classroom style learning for EMS professionals, he's created this tool to help improve the delivery and retention of EMS providers' continuing education.
Many other current internet-based resources simply videotape a speaker giving a classroom-based lecture and display that over the internet. This method creates problems with ensuring that learners actually watch the course, lack of verification of attendance, inability to evaluate proficiency and knowledge retention, and maintaining consistent records of course completion. EMS Education.net fixes all of these problems through on-line, interactive, web-based learning. Content management and tracking then allows users to have a record of their continuing education.
